    SNOWMELT HAS CAUSED THE SPRAGUE RIVER TO SLOWLY RISE OVER THE PAST
    WEEK. IN ADDITION TO THE SNOWMELT...RAIN HAS BEEN FALLING OVER THE
    RIVER BASIN THE PAST FEW DAYS.

    SHOWERS WILL REDEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE TONIGHT. RAINFALL
    AMOUNTS AROUND 1/4 OF AN INCH CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH WEDNESDAY
    MORNING. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS UP TO 1/2 OF AN INCH WILL BE
    POSSIBLE.

    AT 11 AM THE SPRAGUE RIVER AT BEATTY WAS AT 6.9 FEET. THE LEVEL IS
    EXPECTED TO RISE AND BE NEAR 7 FEET TONIGHT...AND POSSIBLY NEAR 7.5
    FEET BY WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE RISE IN RIVER LEVEL WILL DEPEND ON HOW
    MUCH RAIN FALLS. IF YOU LIVE ALONG THE SPRAGUE RIVER SHOULD MONITOR

    WILL TOP THE FRONT LEVEE OF MONKEY ISLAND WHEN IT EXCEEDS 51 FEET.

    AT BATON ROUGE THIS MORNING THE RIVER WAS AT 33.8 FEET WHERE THE FLOOD
    STAGE IS 35 FEET. THE RIVER WILL REACH FLOOD HERE ON THE MORNING
